And because good and bad always go together in this life. I've received my very first rejection--short, sweet, and to the point:

Thank you for your submission to Jane magazine. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to use it. But please feel free to send further essays. Sincerely, Esther
Oh well. Maybe I'll post it then. I thought it was funny. |

Yep, that was it, Becky. I thought I'd try writing one after I read February's "I'm a fashion stealer" or some such drivel. But at least we know what they are looking for now. (Sorry about the drivel comment, that's just bitter.)
